We are delighted to say that, to start in December 2007, we have been awarded the latest MoD contract to maintain all print finishing, mailroom, shredding, fax and other equipment around the UK via a call centre at our Norwich offices run by Andy Drake, General Manager and Gareth Wellar, Account Manager. This runs for 3 to 5 years minimum, and we are pleased to see that our track record of managed services using our own engineers and some specialist services has been recognised in this way.

Purchase of what was 'HMSO Business Equipment Maintenance Division' (BEM)
|
When HMSO was privatised in the mid 90's the BEM was essentially purchased by Astron/RR Donnelley for whom we were the principle supplier of 3rd party mailroom maintenance across the UK for their major accounts including MOD and HM Revenue and Customs.
In May 2007 we purchased the division from RR Donnelley, together with the contracts and key staff and we now operate this from our Norwich premises under the operating division of "Total Equipment Services", with Andy Drake as General Manager and Gareth Weller as Account Manager.
All contracts have been transfered to the new operation and this allows us to grow our Managed Service Contract operation which includes equipment such as;
- Mailroom
- Print Finishing
- Shredders
- Printers
- Faxes

This is a temporary "new look" web site pending the completely new details and final style being posted.
We hope you like the new image, with its "greener" look to match our move to being a more environmentally conscious company.

Third Party Equipment Maintenance Contracts
|
|
We now maintain various equipment (letter openers made by e.g. Stielow, Opex, Neopost, Pitney Bowes, folder/inserters from Pitney Bowes and Neopost, other scales, etc.) from different manufacturers and either source or manufacture spare parts directly, giving coverage with our own trained engineers anywhere in the UK.
If you have service issues or any problems with your present service provider we can probably help, as we have already done for other major sites with anything from a single unit to dozens of machines.

Export of Scales
|
|
We are now supplying many overseas countries with our postal scales, most recently to major dealers in Poland and Dubai.
Since our scales now interface to all electronic frankers, we can supply dealers anywhere with price calculating scales or can develop unique products for individual country requirements.

Smart
Award
|
|
We
were also recognised by the DTI by the granting of
a "Smart" award for the feasibility study for a new
type of scale that we are developing - more of that
shortly when we are ready to launch it. The "Smart"
award was particularly pleasing as the technical
appraisal beforehand was very "in-depth" and
searching and we were understandably delighted to
be one of a very few firms in NW England to receive
this award.

ISO
9001:2000 Accreditation
|
Having
been awarded ISO 9002 quality assurance
accreditation some time ago, we used our initiative
and have been upgrading our systems to include
design work and to bring us in-line with ISO 9001:2000. We have now been approved under certificate number 10976.

Products
|
Examples of some
"extras" that we supply to dealers are acrylic
scale stands for use with certain models of
franker, to enable our scales to form part of a
"system" when interfaced or not; and envelope
catching trays for some lower priced franker models
that either do not provide them, or where the
manufacturers prices are extremely
high.
